They were married by Rev. Coleman in the Parsonage of the Evangelical United Brethern Church in Franklin, Pennsylvania.

Cooperstown Area Couple Mark Golden Anniversary
On Sunday afternoon approximately 200 guests attended an open house reception held in Sugarcreek Grange Hall at Bradleytown honoring Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Lesh, Cooperstown, R.D. 1. The occasion marked their golden wedding anniversary. The couple was married June 18, 1924, by Rev. Boyd. E. Coleman in the Evangelical Church in Franklin. Mrs. Lesh is the former Mae Rodgers. Hosting the affair were Mrs. Lawrence Rhoades, Mrs. Donald Gates, nieces of the couple. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Ted Walczak, Mrs. Twila Troup, Mrs. Harry Anderson, Mrs. Henry Wise, Mrs. Harold Weaver and Mrs. Howard Webber.
The afternoon festivities included piano selections by Howard Strawbridge accompanied by Mrs. Henry Wise, Mrs. Harold Weaver and James Sutley, cousins of the couple, singing many songs of the golden era.
Guests attended from Cooperstown, Cochranton, Meadville, Eau Claire, Titusville, Oil City, Erie, Sandy Lake, West Elizabeth, Franklin, Townville, Guys Mills, Venus, Sharon, Saegertown, Peoria and Ashtabula, Ohio.
The Leshs, now living in Bradleytown a few miles from the farm where they lived since their marriage, are enjoying good health and keep busy caring for their pets, working in their garden and lawn. They are active in their community and are long-standing members of the Sugar Creek Grange. Mr. Lesh has been a member for 55 years and his wife almost 50 years. They are members of Bradleytown Methodist Church.
Sunday evening the hostesses and their families were entertained by the celebrants at a buffet dinner in their home.
