He came to America from France, and was one of the pioneers in Perry township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. He owned a tract of 150 acres. His children were all born and raised on the place, and all attended school in Perry township, being fairly well educated for the time.

He came to America at an early date and located in Butler County, Pennsylvania.
