He was a member of the Society of Colonial Wars in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a member of Pennsylvania Society Sons of the Revolution.
He was member of Merion Cricket Club of Haverford, Pennsylvania, and of the Rittenhouse Club, of Philadelphia.
