General Notes: Husband - John M. Lewis

He married and settled on a farm soon after. He owned 107 acres of land; held the offices of township collector, treasurer and constable. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church at Hebron.

For many years they lived on a farm near Virsoix which was part of the "Leeom" tract originally owned by his wife's grandfather. But eventually the infirmities of age compelled them to give up farming, and they moved to Canonsburg.
