General Notes: Husband - Onias Moninger


He received his earl education at the common schools, and afterward attended Pleasant Valley Academy five terms. He began teaching school at the age of twenty-one, and taught four winters in District No. 2, Amwell township, Washington County, PA. He was an active worker in the ranks of the Republican party, and was al­ways interested in local matters. He served as assessor and clerk, and later as assistant assessor.
