General Notes: Husband - John Hartman


He came to Hayfield Township, Crawford County, PA, with his parents in 1830, resided on his own farm beginning in 1840, which he cleared and made all the improvements on. He and his wife were members of the Reformed Church. He held nearly all the offices in the gift of his town­ship; in politics was a Democrat.
