General Notes: Husband - Judge David B. Long


He and his wife were married, and resided at Finley Furnace, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, for a number of years. Later they came to Clarion County and settled at Beaver Furnace, of which he was part owner under the firm name of Long & Blackstone. Judge Long was elected prothonotary twice after 1855. He was twice a member of the state legislature, and is recorded as the first native representative from the legislative district, 1842-43. He was an ardent Democrat in his political convictions.
