General Notes: Husband - John M. Siegwarth


When a telegrapher at Chicago, IL, he completed the West Point Military Academy course and was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in 9th Regulars in 1894. In the battle of San Juan Hill, Cuba, he assisted in carrying Gen. Wykoff off the field. He served in the Philippines and China, was Captain of guard that guarded the Queen's palace. He died of amoebic dysentery in hospital, Washington, D. C.
