The firm of McKee & Com­pany carried on an extensive business in hardware, stoves, agricultural implements, wagons, etc., and also conducted a planing mill at Hilliards. The mill was estab­lished by him at Six Points, Butler County, in 1870, and removed to Hilliards in 1876. He carried it on until 1884.
He and his wife removed from Pennsylvania to Ohio in 1887.
