General Notes: Husband - Gardner C. Lowry


He graduated from Butler High School in 1896, and Grove City College, in 1899, with the degree Bachelor of Science. After leaving college he was principal of the Sarver (Pennsylvania) Academy for one year. In 1900 he entered the Butler Savings Bank as a clerk. In 1903 this bank was merged with the Butler Savings & Trust Company, and Mr. Lowry was appointed assistant secretary.
Mr. Lowry was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, in which he was an elder and clerk of the session; was a member of Butler Lodge F. and A. M. No. 272, past master in 1911; was a member of the board of directors and a past president of the Young Men's Christian Association, and belonged to the Rotary Club. He was a Republican.
