General Notes: Husband - George W. Lucas


He was associated with a tannery in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, for many years and for the last fifteen years of his life served as street commissioner there. He was prominent in social and civic affairs, was a Republican in politics, worshipped at the Baptist Church, in which he was a deacon, and served for over a year with the Union Army during the Civil War.
