He served in the Spanish American War as a private in Co. E, 15th Reg't, Pennsylvania Volunteers. His tombstone gives his year of birth as 1874, on his marriage license he gave 1876.

BERT M. PERRINE
Bert M. Perrine, lifetime resident of the Grove City area and formerly of 603 South Center St., Grove City, died at 12:30 a.m. today in the Nugent Convalescent Home, Sharon, where he had been a patient for three months. Death followed an extended illness. He was 91.
He was born in Millbrook Feb. 27, 1874, a son of John C. and Adala McKee Perrine. On Sept. 4, 1901, he married Laura Jane Lusher who died May 14, 1964.
Mr. Perrine was a self-employed painter and contractor in the Grove City area. He was a member of the Broad St. United Presbyterian Church, the Men's Bible Class of the church, Grove City Municipal Band, and was a veteran of the Spanish-American war.
He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Karl (Helen) Sump, Brookfield, Ohio, and Mrs. H. G. (Dorothy) Strachan, Watchung, N. J.; a son, Clinton Perrine, Franklin; a brother, Roy E. Perrine, Miami, Fla., and five grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. Louella Tait, preceded him in death.

Perrine Service
Service was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Cunningham Funeral Home, Grove City, for Bert M. Perrine, 91, of 603 South Center St., Grove City, who
died Saturday in the Nugent Convalescent Home, Sharon.
Rev. Dr. Robert T. Kelsey, pastor of Broad St. United Presbyterian Church, officiated, and Mrs. Wallace Emery was organist.
Donald Perrine, Clifford Patterson, Raymond Barber, Walter Baird and Raymond and Quincy Tait were pallbearers.
Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.

Mrs. Bert M. Perrine Dies This Morning
Mrs. Laura J. Perrine, 83, 603 South Center Street, died shortly after 5 a.m. today (Thursday) in Mercer County Hospital where she had been a patient three weeks. Death followed a seven weeks' illness with complications following a fractured hip incurred in a fall.
Born in Rock City January 2, 1881, she was a daughter of Andrew J. and Caroline A. Gilmore Lusher. On September 4, 1901, she was married to Bert M. Perrine, who survives.
A long-time resident of Grove City, she was a member of the Broad Street United Presbyterian Church, Worthwhile Bible Class, and Sarah Circle of the Women's Association, the Women's Christian Temperance Union, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and Spanish-American War Veterans Auxiliary. She was a past grand president of the Judith Rebekah Lodge, and a past officer of the North West Pennsylvania Spanish American War Veterans Auxiliary.
Survivors include, besides her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Karl (Helen) Sump, Brookfield, Ohio, and Mrs. H. G. (Dorothy) Strachen, Watchung, N. J., a son, Clinton, of Franklin, and five granddaughters.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the H. Glenn Cunningham Funeral Home, where services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with Dr. Robert T. Kelsey, Mrs. Perrine's pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Perrine Services
Funeral services for Mrs. Bert M. Perrine, 83, 603 South Center Street, who died Thursday, were held Sunday afternoon at the H. Glenn Cunningham Funeral Home, with Dr. Robert T. Kelsey officiating and Mrs. Wallace Emery at the organ.
Pallbearers were Karl, Quincy and Raymond Tait, Ray Barber, Don Perrine and Glenn Miller.
Interment in the Woodland Cemetery.
