Couples Exchange Marriage Vows
The new Mr. and Mrs. Oren Frank Lusher greeted guests at a reception in Linden Hof Supper Club following their Saturday noon marriage in St. John Church, Essexville. The Rev. Fr. Frederick R. Becker read the rites for the former Nancy Ann Williams, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Williams, 311 N. Barclay, and the son of the Frank D. Lushers, 108 Scheurmann, Essexville.
Preceeding the bride were Miss Patti E. Williams, honor attendant, Miss Geralyn Boucher and Miss Barbara Wilder, bridesmaids. They chose frocks styled with royal velvet skirts and ivory bodices enhanced with floral embossed embroidery. Fresh flowers complemented their coiffures and they carried nose-gays of multi-colored flowers.
The bride approached the altar in a Victorian - inspired gown of candlelight silk faced peau. A bib of Brussels net edged in Venise lace highlighted the bodice from which fell her softly gathered skirt caught with a double flounce at the hem. A matching Camelot cap held secure her veil of illusion and her flowers were a multi-colored colonial boquet.
William Lusher served as best man, John Hofmeister and Vince Doriean were groomsmen. Seating guests were David Ventrone and Milfred Williams.
On their return from a northern Michigan honeymoon, the new Mr. and Mrs. Lusher will make their home in Bay City.
