General Notes: Husband - David Soper Luther

After marriage they moved to Ridgway, Elk County, Pennsylvania, where he engaged in contracting and building, the court house and jail at that place being among the structures erected by him.

Until early manhood he lived with his parents, receiving a common school education. He was engaged in the lumber business in Elk County, Pennsylvania, and also kept a hotel. He was a Republican and held the office of tax collector for the borough of Ridgway. In religion both he and his wife were Presbyterians. [GPHNP, 477]
