General Notes: Husband - William Fleming Zahniser


He was a member of Co. F 57th P. V. from which he was discharged for physical disability. He again volunteered as a member of Co. F., 55th P. V. He became a wagon-maker and com­bined work at his trade with the conduct of a farm adjoining that of his father's home­stead. He was a Republican and held many local offices. He was an elder in the Cumber­land Presbyterian Church at Jackson Centre.
