General Notes: Husband - Dr. Myron Aster Bailey, M.D.


His alma mater was the Western Reserve University of Cleveland, OH, where he studied for three years and where he was graduated with its class of 1889. He spent his entire professional career at Jamestown, studying during the first year with Dr. Gibson. He served three terms as a member of the city council, his politics being Republican, and for five years he was a member of the school board of the borough. In 1902 he was appointed the local surgeon for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, and he was also the medical examiner for the following insurance companies: The Equitable Life Insurance Company in 1901, the Mutual Life in 1904, the Metropolitan Life in 1904, the Central Accident of Pittsburg in 1901, the Penn Mutual in 1902, the Prudential in 1903, the Fidelity Mutual in 1902, the Sun Life Insurance Company of Canada in 1904 and the Illinois Life of Chicago in 1903.
