General Notes: Husband - Edward Crouch


He was a merchant by occupation. At the age of seventeen, he enlisted in the army of the Revolution, and commanded a company in the Whiskey Insurrection, in 1794. He served as a member of the House of Representatives from 1804 to 1806, and was a Presidential elector in 1813. Governor Snyder appointed him one of the associate judges of Dauphin County, April 16, 1813, but he resigned upon his election to the Thirteenth United States Congress.
