General Notes: Husband - Richard Bailey


He was born in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Later he came to Armstrong County, arriving there about 1814. Becoming the owner of a large tract of land, a portion of which later became the site of Ford City, he was extensively engaged in farming and lumbering.

He was born and reared in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Late in life he came to Armstrong County, where he purchased a tract of four hundred acres of land on the Allegheny river, three miles below Kittanning. He spent the remainder of his days in clearing and improving his land.
