General Notes: Husband - David Bair


He attended the common schools and received a good education. At twenty-one years of age he engaged in farming and stock-raising. Eventually, he owned his own home farm of one hundred and forty-one acres and had a half interest in one hundred and forty-five acres of land in Sewickley township, besides a one-fourth interest in the old Bair homestead farm of one hundred and twenty acres. He was a republican and an elder of the Sewickley Presbyterian church, of which his wife was a member. He was a stock-holder of the Sewickley Mutual and Elizabeth fire insurance companies.
