General Notes: Husband - John Fleming Marshall

When a young man, he left Pennsylvania and no word was received from him for many years, but later it was learned that he was in the Army, having been inducted at Ft. MacArthur, California, in September, 1942. On July 18, 1943, word was received that he had been killed in an airplane accident at Granada, Mississippi. An honor guard from Granada Air Field accompanied the remains to Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania, where funeral services were held July 22 and burial, with Military Honors, in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery near Franklin, Pennsylvania.
