General Notes: Husband - Christopher Lobengier Pore

He received his education in the common schools. For two years after his marriage he lived on rented farms, and in 1852 moved to the farm which was thereafter his home. This property was purchased for him by his father and his father-in-law. Mr. Pore prospered and subsequently bought the farm. He was very successful and was able to give each of his children a good start in life. Like his father, he belonged to the Republican party and was a member of the Lutheran church.
