General Notes: Husband - Samuel J. Marshall


He received a common school education; from 1873 to 1885 he conducted an extensive coal business, mining the coal on his father's farm. After the latter year he was engaged in oil producing, farming and coal mining. He was an adherent of the Republican party, filled the office of school director, and also that of roadmaster. In religious belief, he was connected with the United Presbyterian church. He was a member of the Jr. O. U. A. M.
