General Notes: Husband - William S. Marshall


Civil War: He enlisted June 10, 1861 in Company E, 11th Regiment Pa. Reserves, Volunteer corps, for three years. He was wounded in the battle of Gains' Mill, Virginia, on January 27, 1862, and died from the effects of the wound at Point Lookout, Virginia. At the time he was wounded he was taken prisoner and held at Bell's Island, near Richmond, Virginia, for thirty days, when he was exchanged and taken to the hospital at Point Lookout.
