They settled in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, and remained until 1831. They moved to Clearfield County, lived there till 1837, and then removed to Indiana County and settled in what is now Banks township. There was but one family living in a radius of two miles distance from them. They lived in their forest home about ten years and then returned to Clearfield County. He followed farming as his occupation.
