General Notes: Husband - James Floyd Martin

He left Missouri in 1918 to work in an ammunition factory in Arlington, Virginia. This was to exempt him from being drafted into the army. On the way there he took the flu; worked one day and got pneumonia. The family was notified of his illness and his father left for Arlington but James died before he got there. The day of the burial the Armistice was signed, November 11, 1918.
