General Notes: Husband - Charles McCafferty

He came to America at an early date, and settled in the vicinity of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, where he married. Towards the close of the eighteenth century, he removed to Butler County and purchased a tract of 110 acres in what later became Parker township. There he cleared and improved a farm, and resided thereon until his death. In religious belief, he was a Catholic, and in politics, a stanch adherent of the Democratic party.

He was born in Ireland and came to America with his parents when a mere child. He located in Butler County, Pennsylvania, being one of the pioneers of that section of Pennsylvania. He married and had three sons and three daughters, all reaching maturity.
