General Notes: Husband - Robert M. McCandless

Three brothers, Robert M., David and William McCandless, came with their cousins, the John and Jane (Carothers) McCandless family, from Ireland to the United States in 1794. It is assumed that the father of these three brothers never came to America, since his name has not been found within the records researched. The three brothers were among the sixty pioneer men who established homes in Centre and Franklin Townships, Butler County, Pennsylvania, in 1796.
