General Notes: Husband - Edmund B. Wylie


He attended Washington College for two years, then in August, 1862, enlisted in the 25th Iowa Vol. Inf. for service in the Civil War, and served until its close, under Gen. Sherman. He was detailed to act as company commissary in the famous march through Georgia, from Atlanta to Savannah. After 1865 he resided in Jackson County, Iowa, where he owned and managed a large and profitable farm.
