General Notes: Husband - Thompson McCrea




He studied surveying with a Mr. Elliott, a practical surveyor and a native of Ireland, who had migrated to Conemaugh township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. He was engaged in surveying beginning in 1836, and was the county surveyor for eighteen years. He served as justice of the peace for twenty-two years.
