Chartiers creek near Pittsburgh, PA

He served in the American army (Revolutionary War?), and had raised a company in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, and after seven years in the war returned with but seven of his men, receiving for his services land scrip to the amount of four hundred acres. He gave his daughter, Anis, as her dower a horse and a cow.
