General Notes: Husband - Hon. Samuel Wherry

He was a farmer. He took a deep interest in education, public and private. All his children received a thorough seminary and collegiate education. In 1853 he was elected to a three-year term in the Senate of Pennsylvania. In 1860 Gov. Packer appointed him to the bench at Carlisle, to fill a vacancy caused by the death of Judge Woodburn. While yet holding that commission he died.

General Notes: Wife - Margaret McCune

One source states that she was the daughter of Samuel McCune and Eleanor Sharp. But the dates given for her and dates given by other sources for Samuel make it impossible that he was her father.
