General Notes: Husband - Rev. John McClusky McDonald


He labored on the farm with his father until entering his life work. He was educated in the West Alexander (Penn.) Academy, in the branches belonging to the college course. After completing his academic studies, he entered the Northwestern Seminary of Chicago, IL (now the McCormick Theological Seminary), from which he graduated in April, 1866; was licensed April 13, 1865, by the Presbytery of Chicago; was ordained at Beaver Dam by the Presbytery of Winnebago, June 27, 1866. He was been a home missionary; labored at Winneconne (WI), Algona (IA), Waynesville (IL), Carleton, Belvidere, Hubbell and Hopewell Church (Neb.), and Ulysses and other points in Kansas.
