General Notes: Husband - Frederick W. Moore

He obtained his primary education in the local schools and then entered the West Virginia State Normal School at West Liberty, where he was graduated in 1889, after which he taught school for one term. He then engaged in agricultural pursuits and continued until he moved to West Alexander, where he also became interested in business, dealing in hardware, implements, seeds in season, paints, oils and builders' supplies. He continued to oversee his farm of 215 acres which lay in Ohio County, West Virginia, not far from West Alexander, on which he grew much stock, paying particular attention to the Delaine fine wool sheep, of registered stock. Dairying was also a successful industry carried on by Mr. Moore.
He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church at West Alexander, and for a number of years Mr. Moore sang in its choir. In politics he was a Republican.
