General Notes: Husband - William Baker

He and his wife began their domestic life on the Frederick Heiser farm in Buffalo township, Union County, Pennsylvania, and in 1866 he purchased and removed to the John Hauck farm, which adjoined the old place. He afterward divided his land into three farms, and erected a new set of buildings on the third farm, where he lived from 1877 until his death. He died very suddenly while doing his morning work, and was buried in Dreisbach cemetery.
In politics he was a stanch Democrat, while in religious faith he was a member of the Reformed Church, in which he held a number of offices.
