General Notes: Husband - William McGinnis


He attended the early subscription schools in Scrubgrass Town­ship, Venango County, PA. He was trained to be a farmer and has fol­lowed agricultural pursuits throughout his life. In the fall of 1872 he settled on the farm in Allegheny Township, Butler County, which he then occupied for many years. He was a mem­ber of the Associate Presbyterian Church, at Eau Claire, in which he was an elder. In his political preference he was a Prohibition­ist.
