General Notes: Husband - David T. McKay


He graduated at Allegheny College, at Meadville, Pennsylvania. At the time of the Civil war, he assisted in raising a company of troops for the Union cause, Company B, of the Eighteenth Pennsylvania Regiment. He was a prisoner of war at Libby prison, Richmond, Virginia, for nine months of the year and a half he was in the service of his country. After the war had closed, he resumed law practice.
