Grove City, Mercer Co, PA

The only child in his parents' family, he finished his education at Grove City College, after which he took up the profession of dentistry and was graduated from the Pennsylvania Dental College of Philadelphia in 1899, and for one year thereafter demonstrated at the college, and then permanently located at Grove City, where he became a member of the Lake Erie Dental Association. He was a member of the Masonic order, and was made a Master Mason. He also belonged to the Odd Fellows order, in the Encampment degree. Politically, he was a supporter of the Prohibition party. In church faith he was affiliated with the Presbyterian church. He had the distinction of belonging to the Sons of Veterans Society, of which he became commander.
