Mrs. A. J. Phipps.
Mrs. Anna E. Phipps, wife of A. J. Phipps, Sr., died at her home north of Barkeyville at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, March 9, after a short illness from pneumonia. Mrs. Phipps had not been well all winter and when stricken with the disease her vitality was lowered so she could not resist it.
She leaves her husband and the following daughters and sons\emdash Mrs. William Walter, Marion township, Butler county; Mrs. William Shull, of New Castle; Mrs. Wade Taylor, of Barkeyville; A. J. Phipps, Jr., of Harrisville; Lowrey W. Phipps, at home. She also leaves 17 grandchildren.
Mrs. Phipps was a member of the Barkeyville Church of God.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the family residence by Rev. White. Burial was made in the Log church cemetery.
