General Notes: Husband - Abraham F. McKee


His birth occurred on the night of the first day in which the familiy occupied their new cabin built to succeed the one destroyed by the Indians. He was crippled at the age of thirteen by a tree falling on him. He had a famous schoolmaster who was a noted penman, and who taught him to read, write and cipher as far as the "double rule of three." That was the graduating point in those days. He lived with and cared for his mother until her death.

He and his wife were the parents of six children, only two of whom reached maturity.
