He located first at Eureka mine, No. 22, near Hegarty's Cross Roads, Clearfield County, PA, purchasing and clearing a tract of land. Later he moved to Bradford County, but sold out after a short time and returned to Clearfield County; he later resided near Cumberland, MD, not far from the Pennsylvania line.
