General Notes: Husband - Andrew McLean

When he was about twenty-six years of age he emigrated to the United States and settled in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, and during the war of the Revolution enlisted in Thomas Askey's Company of Cumberland militia, being called into active service July 28, 1777. He subsequently moved to Donegal, Ligonier Valley, Pennsylvania, where he passed his remaining years.

Of Scotch descent, he served as a soldier in the War of the Revolution. He received his pay in continental money, which depreciated so as to become worthless, and was finally consumed in a bonfire in an old fashioned fireplace.
