General Notes: Husband - Robert McManigle

This family is of Irish extraction, his grandparents having been natives of the North of Ireland, whence they came to western Pennsylvania.

He was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. In 1861 he moved to Rose township, Jefferson County, and followed farming throughout his active years.

He and his wife were the parents of fourteen children, eight sons and six daughters; eleven survived their parents. At the time of his death he had eighty-four grandchildren (eleven deceased) and sixty-one great-grandchildren (nine deceased). Two of his daughters had sixteen children each.
