General Notes: Husband - Craft Walter


He was born in Irwin township, Venango County, PA, and was there reared to manhood. He received a limited education in the public schools, and throughout life was engaged in agricultural pursuits. In 1848 he located upon a homestead in Marion township, Butler county, most of which he cleared and improved. He was a member of the Church of God, and in politics, he was a Democrat. He held the offices of constable and collector, and was one of the substantial farmers of his township.
