General Notes: Husband - Jonathan Mead

He moved with his father to Nine Partners, New York, and later settled in Chenango County, New York.

Three brothers bearing the name of Mead left their native country, England, and together crossed the Atlantic to America. Two of these brothers located at a place now called Meadville-the other settled in the eastern part of the state, where he had numerous business relations, and was on very friendly terms with Daniel Boone, the celebrated western pioneer, and with the family of William Penn.
