General Notes: Husband - William Perry Postlethwaite


In his boyhood he attended the public schools, supplementing this with one year's study at Glade Run Academy. He became a teacher, continuing for six terms. He then began farming at Whitesville, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, and, with stock growing, was a successful agriculturist, accumulating a comfortable competency. Later, for twenty years or more he lived retired at Valier. He was a Democrat and a Mason.

Civil War: He enlisted in Company C, 206th Pennsylvania Infantry, in August, 1864, serving until mustered out on July 3, 1865.
