General Notes: Husband - Aquilla Miles

---

He grew to manhood on his father's farm located where West Middlesex, PA, now stands. When he had attained the age of twenty-one years he began farming a part of the old homestead for himself, and moving from there to Hickory Township, Mercer County, in 1863 he farmed there during the remainder of his life. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and voted with both the Whig and Republican parties.
