General Notes: Husband - Joseph Warne


This family was for many years closely identified with the growth and early history of Washington County, Pennsylvania. They are of English origin.
He and his family came to Pennsylvania in the year 1770, locating in what is now Allegheny County, buying 400 acres of land near Sunnyside, and there he passed the remainder of his life. He was a leading member of the Round Hill Presbyterian Church, and in politics affiliated with the Democratic party.

He [Abram Warne] came from Virginia and settled and died in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, upon a farm near the village of Sunnyside, Forward township. [HWC 1882, 600]
