General Notes: Husband - G. Wilson Miller

He came to Butler County, Pennsylvania, in his boyhood with his parents and they settled on a farm. He was practically reared in the city of Butler. After completing the public school course he became a clerk in the store of Charles Duffy, at Butler, after which he embarked in business for himself and built a three-story brick building, at No. 116 East Jefferson Street. Over time this became one of the oldest grocery houses at Butler and was a landmark in the neighborhood. A business house that safely weathered the financial panics and depressions of thirty-odd years, constantly increasing its stock and trade.
He was an active citizen and invested in property and owned stock in a number of prosperous concerns. Beginning from the date of its organization, he was president of the Citizens' Building and Loan Association.
