Her husband came to the United States from Germany in 1847, and started for California, but nothing is known of what became of him. She followed him to America with her son, Jacob J. Miller, when the latter was but eight years old; after arriving in Pennsylvania she married again and resided in Shelly, Bucks County, Pennsyl­vania.
