General Notes: Husband - William V. Miller

---

He was educated in the common schools of Miamisburg, Ohio, and high school at Dayton, Ohio. He learned telegraphy, and came to Pennsylvania in 1873, where he was employed in various commercial telegraph companies. In 1874 he entered the service of a transportation company which subsequently became incor­porated in the Standard Oil organization, with which company he remained, and eventually became president of the National Transit Company.
